Australian Retaining Walls were called to this Reedy Creek, Gold Coast Qld residential property to help devise a plan to cover the large area of exposed bedrock. Our clients had been having a terrible time with their home builder and needed a confidence boost in the building industry, which Australian Retaining Walls were happy to provide.

Before any construction could begin on this Flush Face Garden Wall interlocking link block retaining wall our large excavator with a jackhammer attachment was brought in and set about breaking out all the excess rock. The broken out rock would be stockpiled and used later in the job as backfill, saving on disposal costs.

Once all the rock was broken out by our team and a footing was dug, the builders from Australian Retaining Walls could establish some levels and begin building the Flush Face Garden Wall blocks retaining wall. The base course of blocks are laid on a wet bed of concrete and the rest of the blocks are stacked to the desired height, backfilling with 20mm drainage gravel, geotextile fabric, ag. pipe and the excess rock that was stockpiled earlier.
