C.C.A. H5 Treated Pine Log Retaining Walls

We were contacted by representatives’ of the body corporate acting on behalf of the individual owners of this waterfront unit complex. This was another common case of replacing old failing timber sleeper walls. The primary concerns of the unit complex were durability and price. After liaising with some of the unit owners it was decided that C.C.A. H5 Treated pine log walls would be the most suitable construction for the complex. This wall was approx. 100 square metres 70 metres long up to 1.5 metres high. Australian retaining walls was awarded the job of replacing the walls. Our engineering associate was engaged to provide all relevant forms and design. We believe that the pine log walls chosen will last at least around twice as long in the ground as the sleeper walls. This was actually the third time a new wall had been constructed. See before and after pictures below.
