Rip Rap Rock Armouring to Lake Frontage – Benowa, Gold Coast Qld

Australian Retaining walls were summoned to this Benowa, Gold Coast Qld lakeside property to help our client out with some aggressive black Swans! We had previously built a Heron concrete block wall and some steps down to the lake but our client was having trouble enjoying her new garden as the Swans had decided they quite liked the new landscape too!

There had previously been some Rip Rap Rock Armouring on the embankment but over the years it had made its way down into the lake and practically disappeared creating an inviting pathway for the local wildlife to take advantage of.

A truckload of random bluestone sharp-edged rip rap rock was delivered to Benowa, Gold Coast Qld and a makeshift ramp were created down the relatively new steps. The new bluestone was stacked creating the new Rip Rap Rock Armouring down to the Lake Frontage. Even the most ambitious Swan would find this a challenge to overcome!
