Pimpama, Heron Block

A little bit of everything for Australian Retaining Walls on this project. As well as the Heron concrete block wall and fencing at the front of the property Australian Retaining Walls also completed the clients BBQ area by erecting a screen and laying pavers at the rear of the house.

After a small excavation for the footing, Australian Retaining Walls started construction of our latest Heron concrete block wall. Once the base blocks are set in concrete the rest of the wall is stacked on top and core filled for strength. Finally the caps are glued on to provide an excellent finish to another Heron concrete block wall.

Australian Retaining Walls then brought in 20mm gravel and a 65mm drainage pipe for behind the wall to help excess water escape. An outlet for the pipe was created when the base blocks were laid.

Finally Australian Retaining Walls brought in good quality topsoil and turf to create a level playing area for our client’s children.
