The client was dealing with an old timber retaining wall that had succumbed to age and termites, compromising its stability and appearance. Seeking a more modern and durable solution, they turned to us for a retaining wall replacement that could withstand the test of time and enhance their property's aesthetic.
Our Solution
For this project, we opted for a Windsor concrete block wall due to its modern appeal and exceptional durability. The project had excellent access and ample workspace, enabling us to efficiently dismantle the old timber wall and construct the new concrete block wall. Despite a large concrete well imposing a curved design and the need to integrate with existing besser block walls, our skilled team adeptly managed these complexities.
Outcome
The new Windsor concrete block wall not only revitalized the property's look but also offered enhanced durability against environmental factors. Our comprehensive approach included laying the blocks on a solid concrete bed, installing a robust drainage system with a 65mm pipe and 20mm gravel, and securing geotextile fabric to prevent clogging. The seamless execution of this project resulted in another highly satisfied customer.
