The owner of a Worongary property needed to replace their old hardwood sleeper retaining walls, which had served them well for over 30 years but had reached the end of their lifespan. These walls were crucial for maintaining the stability of the house above. The client sought a durable, cost-effective concrete solution that would provide long-term support without the need for heavy machinery, given the limited access in certain areas around the house.
Our Solution
To address the client’s needs, we recommended constructing new retaining walls using Flush Face Garden Wall concrete blocks, which offer a sleek and modern look with excellent durability. For a small section where space was particularly tight, we used concrete sleepers as an effective alternative. Remarkably, all the walls were built entirely by hand, without the use of any machinery, which is often the case with our more delicate or space-restricted projects. This method ensured minimal disruption to the property while delivering a precise and carefully crafted result.
