Client Challenge:
The owners were faced with a Besser Block retaining wall that had developed significant cracking, detracting from the property's aesthetics and raising concerns about the wall's structural integrity.
Our Solution:
Recognising the unique challenges posed by the Besser Block retaining wall, we employed an innovative repair strategy. We used galvanised 16mm steel staples to effectively 'staple' the wall back together, ensuring the structural stability of the retaining wall. Following the stabilization, we re-grouted the wall and applied matching paint to restore its visual appeal, making the repairs virtually indistinguishable from the original structure.
Outcome:
The comprehensive repair not only reinforced the Besser Block retaining wall's structure but also revitalized its appearance, blending the repair work seamlessly with the existing wall. The property owners were immensely satisfied with the outcome, relieved that their retaining wall was both structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing once again.
