The lovely lady owner of this property had watched her timber walls deteriorating over the past few decades. Her original hardwood walls had served the property well and been in place for well over 30 years, but it was time to have the walls all renewed.
The owner came to us initially wanting timber sleepers again but once options had been more carefully considered the composite sleepers with matching posts were decided upon.
We also had to replace the old pool fences and gave the backyard a new fresh sleek, modern look.
These new walls all had to be built by hand as access wasn’t available to bring in machinery. This job had around a 7 metre climb to get up to the backyard from the street. It certainly tested the endurance of our construction team.
Unique features or challenges- Negotiating dozens of steps each day was a challenge for our construction team, but the light weight composite sleepers made it all a lot more bearable. We had to access all parts of this wall without the help of machinery.
