Stone Masonry Retaining Wall Banora Point

This was a little unusual job for us. The client had an order from the local council to carry out remedial work on her back boundary wall.

Our instructions from the owner were clear “Do whatever it takes as cost efficiently as possible to satisfy the requirements of the council order. I don’t care what it looks like as I won’t see it!”

After careful consideration of all aspects of the job we proposed to rip down the wall and reconstruct it properly with the same rocks including engineer’s design and forms.

After discussions with our engineering associate and the local council authority we gained permission to proceed with our proposal.

We unexpectedly found some quite large boulders behind the rock wall during the construction process. This provided plenty of opportunity for extra blood, sweat and grey hairs from our construction team on this one.

But by the end of the job we had ticked all the owners, engineer’s and councils boxes. Another great looking wall, built to last a lifetime.
