Robina, Stone masonry

Australian Retaining walls were called in to find a solution to this client’s problem. Poor access and the location of the wall (on top of a 1m high garden bed) contributed to our choice of a Stone masonry wall made from bush rock and mortar. Unusually the old wall was to remain, as it was deemed too dangerous to remove. There was a high risk of the fence and a garden shed from the above property collapsing onto our clients land.

After taking delivery of the bush rock, a make-shift ramp was fabricated. The team started moving the rock into position & the construction of our latest Stone masonry wall began.

The team at Australian Retaining walls then select the biggest rocks for the base and start building up to 1m in height using the smallest rocks for the caps at the top. As always Australian Retaining walls backfill the wall with 20mm gravel. Outlets are created every metre from 65mm drainage pipe to combat the excessive amounts of rainwater seeping down from the top property. Another satisfied customer for Australian Retaining walls.
