Reedy Creek, Clover Hill State School Besser Block Wall

Australian Retaining Walls services were called upon once again by Clover Hill State School.

This project required Australian Retaining Walls to turn a sloping grass bank into a level area to allow delivery and maintenance vehicles access to the rear of the school. A Split face Besser Block system was deemed the most appropriate to maximize space in a tight area.

Australian Retaining Walls arrived during the school holidays to commence construction on this Split face Besser Block wall. Restricted by the Tennis court and limited access to the construction area, Australian Retaining Walls brought in a small excavator to prepare the area for the Split face Besser Block wall. After excavation a concrete footing reinforced with steel was poured. The next day our expert tradesmen were brought in to construct the Split face Besser Block wall. After the blocks are laid the wall is then core-filled with concrete and reinforced with 16mm steel bars. Finally the wall is capped to complete a great looking strong, solid Split face Besser Block wall.

A couple of days later Australian Retaining Walls returned to prepare the rear of the wall for turf and to shape a spoon drain alongside the tennis court. Another project completed on time for Australian Retaining Walls!
